MUSSELS
New Zealand Greenlip Mussels – Rope cultured on lines in the pristine waters of New Zealand. These mussels are large and full of meat.
Great Eastern Mussels – Harvested from shallow natural beds and aquaculture leases along the coast of Maine. The mussels are purged in cold Maine seawater and debyssed by European style debyssing machines. Available year round.
Mediterranean Mussels – Native to the Mediterranean Sea, these mussels are now cultivated on ropes in Puget Sound, WA. A very large mussel with the byssus attached. A more robust flavor than other mussels grown in North America.
Prince Edward Island Mussels – Blue mussels cultivated on long lines off the east coast of Canada. A full mussel, free of sand and grit. Available year round. |
